Every July from now on, an award for outstanding authors will be created to congradulate them on their splendid work. I would like to present to you the first annual Authors Award. All you have to do is leave us a sample of your work and your blog address by July15, 2006. If your work is selected to go to the final round, you could win a place of honor in our Hall of Fame (coming in August) dedicated entirely to you! So hurry up and get those entries submitted. The winner of the award will be announced on July 30, 2006. Good luck!

Hey Writers! Here's whats going on:
*HEY GIRLS! HERES A BLOG FOR YOU!: Have you ever felt like being a girl is just way to hard? Do you wish that you didn't feel so alone in life? *GOLD CLUB CREATION: A club for superior writers has been formed. Here's what the club's creater, Bonnie, thinks about this club: "This club wasn't made to exclude other writers, it was created as a benefit for the website. I hope that it will be recognized as such." Information on how to get into the club can be found under the Gold Club post.
*LIBRARY COLLECTION HOSTS A NEW ENTRY: Thats right! The Write Place Public Library has grown bigger...by a lot! This new entry is the longest out of all of them. Posted by the owner of the blogs MYLIFE, Ghost Ranch is sure to be a hit!
*AUTHOR'S AWARD COMING SOON TO THE WRITE PLACE: "To honor the outstanding writers that visit the site, I'm hosting a contest in which nominees can have thier work judged by other visitors of the site. Other visitors can then vote on which piece is the best. The author of that piece will recieve the award!" That is what the Librarian pictures the AUTHOR'S AWARD as. Winning this award is the highest honor that a writer can recieve on the site. The winner of this award will win a free membership into the Gold Club and a permanant place of honor (in english, the winner will get their own post set aside for them!). Sound good? The AUTHOR'S AWARD will come in July every year. So get ready, because it's coming!
*WRITE AN ENDING CONTEST NEARS IT'S DUE DATE:The second contest since the opening of The Write Place comes to an end on August 1st, 2006. So hurry up and get those entries in before then. Remember, the winner is given a free membership into the Gold Club. So, what does happen to that poor kid and what does he/she see behind him/her? You decide...

The Gold Club is a highly respected place of honor on the website. Only the best and brightest authors are allowed to join. What are the benefits of joining the Gold Club? Well, for one thing, you will be revered and respected by all who visit the site. Another benefit of joining is that you get to run the Newsletter and you get your own post where young authors can ask you questions about how to become a better writer. Write an Ending

"When I saw the murderer charge at me, I wasn't sure what to do. I had half an inkling to turn around and run back up the dark alleyway that I had blindly stumbled into. Another part of me said that I ought to wait and see what happens. So I decided to wait.
I'm such a dunce.
Suddenly, I felt a tingling sensation in the tips of my fingers. I didn't recognize this feeling then. I tried to come up with an explantation as to what the sensation meant, but then I felt the murderer take hold of my arm with an iron grip. I struggled to break free, but it was no use. His grip only tightened at my attempt to wriggle loose. I opened my mouth, about to scream, when his other hand muffled my cries. The murderer seemed to be one step ahead of me every time. I felt the sensation in my fingers grow increasingly, it almost hurt. I knew it was all over for me. I muttered under my breath my favorite nonsense word, 'GOORAFOOY' right before my hands began to burn. I shifted my frightened gaze from the murderer's ugly face to my hands. My fingertips were...glowing? They glowed so brightly that the alley lit up with light. A blast of deafening sound roared in my ears. I felt the murderer's arm slide limply away from my neck and his hand dropped from my mouth. I spun around to see the cause of my stalker's sudden retreat. What I saw filled me with a bone chilling horror..."
